The Vandals hosted WSU here in Moscow, ID this past Thursday the 15th and came out on top with a 12-5 win. The game was played 4 on 4 for the Moscow Rink is small, like the chances of Britney Spears getting her life together. Anyway, the Vandals want to thank all the people and fans that came out to support Vandal Hockey, we'd love to have more games here in Moscow, and we're looking into it. Taylor Brasse aka Datsyuk netted a hat trick and let the crowd know with a solid three fingers high salute; money. And Ryan Moen finally got the puck to drop late in the third period after numerous close attempts. Thank You again fans, and hope you had a great time. Go Vandals!

The Vandals play in a tournament at the end of the month @ Colorado.

The final scores against EWU this past weekend do not reflect the games themselves, but the Vandals need to find a way to get it done. Friday night's final was 7-1 and Saturday's 8-4, both in EWU favor. Once again goaltender Jesse Walker stood on his head facing another total of 100 shots. Two minor let downs in both games enabled the Eagles to take and grasp a good lead, making it difficult for the Vandals to even the score. Simply, the Vandals need to find a way against the Eagles.

For the first time this year the Vandals had some "good looking" competition. They finished with a 6-4 and an 11-0 win over Puget Sound up in Spokane, WA where Tyson Bundtrock, Aaron Rothrock, & Ryan Frey each had their first goals of the season. Frey popped another goal on top of the first and added a bone crushing hit that managed not to break any bones. Taylor Brasse made it happen and helped us get the 6-4 win on Friday, making up for our minor dysfunction. J. Walker and Ward took over the table making great shots as well. Go Vandals.

The Vandals play in Spokane this upcoming weekend the 9th & 10th @ EWU.

The Vandals battled twice against the EWU Eagles this past weekend and ended up with two losses. Friday's final was 8-3 and Saturday's 9-2. Despite some interesting calls by the Refs the Vandals managed to finish Saturday's game with a somewhat full bench. The goaltender, Jesse Walker, stood on his head once again facing an absurd 100 shots on goal in two games. Andrew Schmohr, though not a goalie, also faced shots. He blocked 10+ shots throughout the two games. Most shot blocks came on the penalty kill and some while he was diving head first to block the shot. Schmohr kills it.

The Vandals will begin practice this week and play Puget Sound on Nov. 2nd.

The Vandals finished with two more wins this weekend despite the lack of turn out. With only 13 players the Vandals beat Wall Walla 13 - 5 Saturday (where Nick Arnold had 5 goals) and 7 -5 on Sunday (where he didn't). Late in Saturday's game a Walla Walla player ran our goalie Jesse Walker and our boy Rhen Stevens came in and taught the kid a lesson. Walla Walla's coach did not approve of his player's behavior, claiming it was not his plan. Jesse was a trooper and finished strong. On a side note Re-Chara was entertaining both games, look out for him in the future.

The Vandals play this upcoming weekend the 19th & 20th @ EWU.

The Vandals finished with two great wins over the Gonzaga Bulldogs this past weekend. Friday night Vandal goaltender Jesse Walker stuffed the Zags and finished with a shutout. The final score of the first game was 9-0. In the second game the Vandals were short on players, running two lines of forwards and two lines of defense. The Vandals still came out on top finishing the Zags with a 13-1 win on their home ice in Spokane, WA.

The Vandals play this upcoming weekend the 13th & 14th @ Walla Walla.
